Description
The Oregon RFID Wireless Temperature Sensor accurately measures to within 0.2 C. The sensor is sealed in a watertight enclosure that will operate indefinitely since it is inductively powered when placed near a PIT antenna.
The temperature can be read by an ORSR or ORMR reader to log it every minute. Version 2.2 or higher firmware is required.
The sensor can be placed underwater, in air or buried. Like a PIT tag, it should not be placed on or near metal. It needs to be placed close enough to the antenna to have sufficient power to operate.
Each antenna can have only one temperature sensor.
The temperature sensor also acts as a passive Marker tag. As long as the device responds, continuous operation is confirmed.
